This chair is inspired by puddles formed after the rain. The characteristic weather of the Netherlands is often cloudy, with frequent and abundant rainfall. The damp city and shimmering puddles scattered everywhere are familiar scenes in my daily life. I drew inspiration from the rippling and splashing movements of puddles formed in various shapes due to their surroundings.
The irregularly curved legs are designed to resemble the flow of water, while the rounded and uneven seat reflects the dynamic motion of water within a puddle. The material allows the soothing sound of rain when it encounters water, further enhancing the connection to rainy days and deepening the inspiration drawn from puddles and rippling water.
